How to Prepare for your Piercing Appointment

How to Prepare for your Piercing Appointment

If you’re reading this blog post I’m going to assume that you’re thinking about getting a new piercing! New piercings always come with a feeling of excitement, but can sometimes also come with a bit of nervousness or anxiety. In this blog post we will run through how to prepare for your piercing, and hopefully this will calm any nerves you might have related to your upcoming piercing!

Pick a piercing for your lifestyle:

Different piercings suit different people, just like clothing, hairstyles or any other aspect of a client's personal style! A great way to figure out what piercings you like best is to look for inspiration. Most clients turn to Instagram or Pinterest for piercing ideas, but we also offer Virtual Ear curations on www.pierced.co where our team will build you an ear project based on your specific style and anatomy! Book a Virtual Ear consultation to see what ideas our team can come up with for you!

Apart from personal style, you should also consider what activities you partake in regularly that may affect a future piercing. For example, if you typically like to wear in ear headphones, maybe pick an ear piercing on the outer helix area that will not be irritated by your headphones. A great option could be a forward helix, flat helix, or lower helix option!

If you currently have braces, maybe opt for a non-oral piercing to avoid your jewelry getting caught or irritated. A nostril, ear or navel piercing might be a bitter fit for you! These are just a couple of things to consider when planning your look, and will ultimately help you heal a happier piercing!

Review what piercings we are currently able to offer:

Typically we are able to do almost every piercing at our studios, but with new Covid-19 regulations, we have a more limited selection of piercings we are able to perform in order to ensure the safety of our team and clients! The rule of thumb we are currently following to maintain safety regulations is that we cannot perform any piercing that would require our client to remove their mask.

Now it's Time to Book you Appointment!

Once you have decided on your piercing, its time to book your piercing appointment. To make things a little easier, we have launched an online booking system, that you can access for both our Newmarket piercing studio and Mississauga piercing studio. We require clients to leave a small deposit ahead of time, that will be put towards your total cost once you’re piercing is completed.

Before Coming to the Studio:

We hope that this blog post has helped ease any nerves you may have had regarding your future piercing. We cannot wait to have you in studio, and please don’t forget your face mask :).
